Dyslexic Thinking Celebration with Virgin Unite
Friday, 5 July 2024
hrs
In partnership with Made by Dyslexia, we’re thrilled to be putting on the first-ever Dyslexic Thinking gathering on Necker Island. This weeklong gathering and celebration will bring together a group of passionate Dyslexic Thinkers, brilliant speakers, and extraordinary changemakers who are empowering Dyslexic Thinking around the world.
The first half of the week will feature speakers and a program anchored all around Dyslexic Thinking—considerations and opportunities for education, in the workforce, and the policy shifts needed—and the second half will be time for guests and families to further connect, build community, and enjoy all the island has to offer. This group will serve as a catalyst to inspire and influence big shifts worldwide—to ignite widespread understanding about the brilliance and value of Dyslexic Thinking, and to empower it in every home, every workplace, and every school.
Confirmed speakers so far include founder of Virgin Group Sir Richard Branson, founder and CEO of Made By Dyslexia Kate Griggs, space scientist and science educator Maggie Aderin-Pocock, chair of the International Dyslexia Association Josh Clark, Director for Education and Skills and Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary-General, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Andreas Schleicher, and Chief Executive of Randstad Sourceright Mike Smith, with a few, final voices to be confirmed.
The cost of this gathering is $60K USD per room for up to two people sharing, which covers everything from the time you land in the BVI until you leave us: stunning all-inclusive accommodation on Necker Island for seven nights, local ground and water transfers to/from the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS/TUPJ), and all meals, drinks, and activities (apart from small extras, like the spa). This also includes a charitable contribution to Made By Dyslexia.
