Paul Lindley, Founder – Ella’s Kitchen
Paul Lindley is an award-winning British entrepreneur and children’s welfare campaigner. He founded organic baby and children’s food brand Ella’s Kitchen, naming it after his daughter, and later launched organic toddler toiletries brand Paddy’s Bathroom, named after his son.
Paul launched Ella’s Kitchen from his own kitchen table in 2004, and transformed a home-grown business into a £75m titan that sells goods in 40 countries. That was just the beginning. Paul built on the success of Ella’s, creating natural toiletries brand Paddy’s Bathroom. And founded The Key is E, which supports social entrepreneurs in Africa.
He also co-founded a social enterprise called The Key is E with former child soldier and international hip-hop artist Emmanuel Jal. He was previously deputy managing director of Nickelodeon UK.
Alison Cooper (Lessmann), Founder – En Route International and En Route Gastronomie Vertriebsgesellschaft, Award Winning Entrepreneur and Active Investor
In 1992, Alison created En Route Gastronomie Vertriebsgesellschaft in Germany, launching a country-wide chilled delivery network for Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s national rail company, providing all stations with UK-imported sandwiches and making En Route a £5M business within 10 years.
By 2002, Alison had launched UK-based En Route International, now a £40M corporation with over 70 staff members. En Route serves 65 corporate customers across 5 global locations and delivers to over 55 sites each week, and 40M units of product to over 100 locations worldwide annually.
Alison’s entrepreneurial spirit sparked the innovative philosophy now deeply embedded within En Route’s culture. Her imaginative approach to working with customers, identifying their problems and finding solutions for them has provided real added value to customers’ product offerings, supply chain processes and ultimately their bottom lines.
Alison’s proven success in taking En Route from its inception to a global concern led to the Emirates group (Dnata) acquiring the majority share in May 2012 for in excess of £7M and obtaining full ownership in 2017. Alison has recently completed her 5 year earn-out.
In 2018, Alison launched Palm Grove Investments, a privately-owned enterprise investing in property and private companies.
Paul Stead, Founder – Brewery London, Growth by Design
Paul Stead was working at Fitch and Co and within 3 years became one of the youngest associate directors – working on Terminal 3/4 Heathrow multiple international projects. On his 30th Birthday he left Fitch and founded PSD Associates with a £2,000 loan from his mum.
From his front room in Teddington, to old Brewery building in Richmond, Paul grew a 100 person award winning Interdisciplinary Design studio. Including clients such as Motorola, Nokia, Philips, Mitsubishi. In 2000 the business had a turnover exceeding £12M, he sold to Cordiant Communications and became the Global CEO.
Cordiant Communications went on to purchase Fitch and other design assets to create a turnover of circa $100m and 28 office global design business.In 2004 he founded NewEdge with Dr Pam Henderson, turnover $6M.
In 2014 he founded Brewery London, Growth by Design, focusing on UK, startup / scale up clients. He is a regular contributor to The Manufacturer magazine, Judge on UK Innovation Awards, business angle to for start-ups. He is currently the CEO of Brewery London, his specialism is understanding how businesses work best together and how to build a culture of creativity.
Most recently Paul was awarded honorary PHD for Design + Entrepreneurship from High Wycombe University in 2017
He has a natural commercial focus and a flare for noticing opportunity for clients. He employs a strategic “hands on role” and catalysis innovation from within organisations.
Richard Morris, CEO – IWG UK
Richard is CEO of Spaces and Regus UK. He joined in 2014 following his role as CEO of G4S’s UK & Ireland Division. Regus is the world’s largest provider of flexible work space solutions offering a fast growing global network of 3,000 locations in 120 countries.
In 2015, with Richard at the helm, Regus UK generated more than £450 million in revenue, driving profit to in excess of £84 million. Since joining, Richard has consistently delivered year on year growth for Regus’ UK division.
Shalini Khemka, Founder, CEO & Board Director – E2E
Shalini founded E2E in 2011. She is a Member of the Mayor of London’s Business Advisory Board. She is a fellow of Burton & South Derbyshire College. She is also a judge for the Great British Entrepreneurs Awards and The National Business Awards. Shalini is a Champion for Tech London Advocates, a Member of the Advisory Committee of the Commonwealth Entrepreneurs and an Ambassador for Recordsure. She was formerly on the Advisory Board of the Centre for Entrepreneurs (CFE), The Development Board of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and was a judge for IBM Smartcamp.
