Andrew Owens MBE – Co-Founder & CEO of Greenergy
Andrew co-founded Greenergy in 1992 and has led the company from a bedroom start-up to one of the UK’s largest privately-owned companies, employing more than 1000 people. Today Greenergy is a leading provider of road fuels, selling nearly 20 billion litres of petrol, diesel and biofuel annually – enough to fuel one in three vehicles in Britain.
Andrew started his career at Esso, initially as design engineer at the Fawley refinery and later moving to London to take responsibility for refinery economics. After leaving Esso, Andrew held a number of commercial and trading positions in the oil industry in Belgium and Switzerland before setting up Greenergy as a “proper job avoidance strategy”.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
Rajesh Agrawal – Deputy Mayor of London for Business
Rajesh Agrawal is the Deputy Mayor of London for Business. Born in India, Rajesh moved to London in 2001. As an entrepreneur he founded RationalFX in 2005, and Xendpay in 2014, both companies utilising technology to reduce the cost of international money transfer for businesses and individuals. Rajesh is passionate about promoting entrepreneurship and creating opportunities for young people.
He was appointed Chair of Oxfam’s Enterprise Development Programme in 2015 and has been a Patron of the Prince’s Trust for many years.As Deputy Mayor Rajesh aims to be a strong voice for London’s business community, protecting jobs and growth, and ensuring that the capital remains the most open and attractive place to do business in the world.[/vc_column_text][kleo_gap size=”25px”][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”#d9d9d9″][vc_column_text]
